The Beitou Hot Spring Museum is located on Zhongshan Road, near Beitou Park, in Taipei's Beitou District. It is a free historical and cultural monument. Originally a public bathhouse completed in 1913, it was restored and reopened as a museum in 1998. The architecture blends a Japanese wooden style on the second floor with a Western red brick style on the first floor. It preserves the original appearance of the large public bath and showcases Beitou stone, the development of hot springs, and local life and culture. There is also a tatami area for visitors to rest. Upon entering, visitors must change into slippers provided by the museum, corresponding to locker numbers. Staff and volunteers are present throughout to provide guidance. Please note that the museum is for viewing only and does not offer actual hot spring bathing. As a historic building, there are no elevators or accessible facilities, and movement requires stairs. During holidays and when there are many foreign visitors, admission is subject to crowd control, and queuing may be required.
