Venue Description

This is a large indoor exhibition hall located in the Tropical Rainforest Zone of Taipei Zoo (Muzha) in Wenshan District, Taipei City. It is named after the pangolin's image, but pangolins are not exhibited inside (they are kept in the Taiwan Animal Area). The hall boasts a ceiling height of 24 meters and features an immersive, mixed-ecology design centered on the Amazon River basin of South America, integrating aquatic areas, forests, and canopy layers. It has also received gold-level green building certification. The exhibit features a symbiotic mixed-species display where cotton-top tamarins, two-toed sloths, various birds, and amphibians/reptiles move freely around visitors; most birds are not afraid of people. There is also an underwater tunnel displaying giant freshwater fish like arapaima. It is equipped with accessible elevators and upper/lower floor pathways. The front of the building faces the Giant Panda House across a walkway. Please note that some passages are narrow and can become crowded during peak hours. It is suitable for visitors who love rainforest ecology and observing animals up close.
