Wai'ao Paragliding Base is located in Toucheng, Yilan, near Wushih Harbor and Wai'ao Beach. Professional instructors offer tandem paragliding flights, allowing you to enjoy aerial views of Guishan Island, Lanyang Plain, and the Pacific Ocean. The landing spot is Wai'ao Beach. After check-in, guests typically take the operator's shuttle bus from the Wai'ao Visitor Center area to the mountain launch point. Selfie sticks are provided on-site for recording your experience. Flight duration is approximately 3 to 5 minutes. The instructors are experienced and friendly, explaining safety procedures before the flight, ensuring even beginners can try with confidence. Please note that parts of the mountain road are narrow dirt paths, making it difficult for vehicles to pass each other. Those driving themselves should have good driving skills or utilize the shuttle service. Activities are highly dependent on weather conditions, so it is recommended to book in advance by phone and confirm the weather the evening before.
